To All My Friends
Dear friends, clients and everyone from Brazil and everywhwere,
It’s been almost fifteen months since I left my country, Brazil (lived there for 23 years ) for personal reasons to come here to New York — resulting unexpectedly in a totally new and enriching experience. It was very hard at the beginning to get used to the weather, culture, and new life. Always surrounded by warm friends in Brazil, I kept in contact with mostly all of them through Skype, Nextel, E-Mails, phone, messenger, you name it.
Professionally as I had important business to take care of in the States, I had to sort out a situation where I could carry on doing what I had always done, source thoughrout the world and produce incredible and amazing home and fashion acesssories, my famous ‘Must haves’, without really having to travel as I did for the last 20 years, for I had to spend most of my time here in the city.
Therefore, I seeeked for help in the net, bought myself the powerful Apple Powerbook G4, spent an average of thirty hours a month at the Genius Bar at the Applestore in Soho, contacted my long time suppliers who all agreed to be part of one more of the many different and daring projects we entangeld together and there it was, www Joelle.com.br website my international e-commerce was born.
With just a newsletter as a teaser I announced my internauts about the new venture, within the first weeks we got up to 90,000 hits per months in average during the next 6 months with a record of 130,000 hits, with a lot response, inquierys, exhitment and expectations from all.
Today, I am proud to present you my website illustrating more than 1,500 products that I have with passion, courage and endurance sourced, designed, produced and imported from all over the world, making them possible to be part of your homes and wardrobes for almost last two decades.
For the ones that already know me, it is not going to be difficult to perceive that this is not just a simple E-commerce (Starting to operate early 2006) but also the story of a lifetyme cycle ending to let a new beginning take place. This new beginning is called JOELLE LIFESTYLE, a project that includes more than one way to reachout to you, and share my personal view of how I see life, the countries that I have been to, the people that I have met, the spiritual energy involved within the objects designed, produced and made available sometimes easily, sometimes not to you. The music, the smell, the passion, will religiously be part of my project consisting in books; a blog and a TV show.
