Good Guy, Bad Guy. Which One Are You?
In the art of seduction some are the “good guys”, many are the “bad guy”. Being around good or bad guys (good ones sometimes bore us) we learn with the way they look, walk, smile or think.
After the preliminary relationship chase game, in our lives, many of the good guys we thought were good, turned to be awful ones; and, others who we thought were bad, turned out to be the cutest sweethearts on earth.
At the end the question still remains unanswered: How do we know who is the real man behind those amazing looks, behavior and and sex-appeal?
At the 80th Academy Awards red carpet you could really admire the catwalk of extremely charming men, mostly actors. George Clooney in a traditional Dolce e Cabbana tuxedo and a perfectly combed hair. Colin Farrell, unsaved, rebellious long hair covering one eye only, earrings and from the neck down impeccably dressed in a midnight-blue Dunhill Tuxedo. Bad guy look, seriously bad!
Smiling Patrick Dempsey, walked on the red carpet very tanned with a one-day old carefully trimmed sexy beard, his classic Dolce e Cabbana tuxedo matched perfectly the serene confidence of his smile and he knew it, he’s definitely a “good guy”. Johhny Depp, in an understated Armani, a low bow tie, long hair and dark framed glasses, was asked several times what he was wearing–he answered irritated “Clothes!” I like the attitude, he obviously is a “bad, bad, bad guy “.
James Dean was a rebel, a bad guy, Cary Grant a gentleman, good guy. Both were exactly aware of their looks , about themselves and how they felt inside . The same thing cannot be said about Oscar winner Daniel Day Lewis, with a strange brown shawl collar tuxedo matching swede shoes, and golden earrings in each ear; A simple good guy aspiring to be a bad one.
The best supporting actor, Xavier Bardem, lately very popular for his role in the movie Love in the Times of Cholera, (where he played the part of a very good guy) was also at the Academy Awards red carpet. It was hard to see the man that waited 55 years for the woman he loved in the movie, imperatively buttoned up by high-break Prada tuxedo. I guess in real life he’s not that good and wait for his lover for so long… “Bad Guy”! By the way he came with his mother.
Actor Forrest Whitaker tried very hard to pronounce the name of Domenico Vacca, the brand of his double breast-ed tux, therefore I could absolutely not classify him as good or bad until he really figures out the pronunciation–maybe next year. Julian Schnabel, a ” bad guy” par excellence, ditched his traditional pajama for an “out of control” pocket square. He looked elegant though though. He still remains “bad guy”
Tom Hanks “good guy ” somehow not exactly who you’d expect to be in a Tom Ford “bad guy”.
Good guy, enfant terrible, bad guy, or prince charming–what we want from men is to be approached with character, and truth. The rest in how they look, is up to them…
But please guys…please, surprise us!!
