I started Joelle Lifestyle simply because my friends wanted to know where I was and what I was doing.

Since I was a child, I have constantly traveled to different and interesting new places. At first, it was because of my family; my parents liked to live well and cherished travel. Later, I arranged for my work to be the excuse.  Truthfully, it was mostly because of my spirit.

My Sephardic Jewish origins never gave up their caravan -desert- gypsy nature.As a result, I met amazing and very interesting people throughout the world with whom I still work today.  Many of these people have become my long time, very good friends

Before the Joelle Lifestyle on line publication , I had a store in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where I lived for 20 years. I sourced, created, and developed ‘ Objects of Desire’ which I brought to the store from different countries like India, Europe, Nepal, Thailand, Indonesia, Mexico, Madagascar, Brazil, Burma, Africa, Philippines, and countless other places.

The objects varied from expensive design home accessories from Munich to the most unusual tribal bracelets from Kathmandu, vintage Levis jeans bought by the pound on American Indian reservations near Santa Fe, New Mexico, to straw place mats made by natives in the Amazon River Basin in Brazil. Every object sourced had a story behind it to be told, a magic scent from ‘ d’ailleurs  ‘ that had to be savored.

Throughout the years, both in my personal and professional endeavors, I have been honored with several awards, among them:

By traveling around the four continents sourcing objects, well before globalization and the internet, I learned about other lifestyles, culture and habits. I felt a need to one day publish and communicate what I saw, felt, and lived in numerous adventures and moments captured with my Nikon in thousands of colorful photographs.

The internet came around the corner, and blogs were still something new. A friend suggested I post about myself on a blog. This is how joellelifestyle.com started, almost as an accident. It was a quick tool to keep my friends connected to what I was doing and seeing. When someone wanted to know about my recent events I would just say, Read my blog!

Today, after three years, the blog turned into an international website with global useful information that is read not only by my friends, but by men and women of various ages in up to 86 countries and in 12 different languages. In addition, I was recently appointed as one of the prestigious 2008 World Best Hotel Award jury members.

Born in Milan, with a degree in industrial design and visual communication in Sao Paulo, I now live in New York City. I post several time a week with visual references and texts about my life and interests in the areas of art, design, fashion, retail, branding, spirituality, hospitality, wellness spas and travel destinations.  Many great people have looked to me with the desire of being featured or with interesting suggestions and ideas for my website.

In addition, I recently started a custom-fit lifestyle consulting service through the web, via telephone and in person, for people that seek an overall balance and advice in their corporate, professional and personal lives.

I could not be more thrilled by the loyal community Joelle Lifestyle has created, and the wonderful associations I have been able to make.If you had told me three years ago I would have a well-respected  website, numerous international public relations assignments, a rewarding lifestyle consulting business, and countless other exciting side projects I would have really liked you a lot!!
