Established in the heart of the Sablon area in Brussels , Pierre Bergé life long partner of Yves Saint-Laurent & associés is focusing its new gallery on the world of contemporary design and American vintage. Luckily for me, the gallery is showcasing an impressive exhibition on American and Brazilian design .

Daniel Ost has been known to travel 900 kilometers to collect the materials for one bouquet. His artistry is in demand by royalty, celebrities, and corporations. His installations, which last only a few days, are extremely costly, but the artistic value is absolutely priceless. I checked the artist floral emporium at Rue Royale,13 in Brussels.

I received the unique opportunity to visit more than fifty interiors of buildings in Brussels gems from the inter-war years, many of which remain relatively unknown. Architectural establishments, splendid private mansions, schools,modest houses, public and industrial buildings, hotels and shops several of which have become part of the ‘UNESCO World Heritage List’ in 2000.

Antiques, fashion or design every shop in Brussels has a story to be told. Rather than offering you a traditional guide,I picked a few of my favorites not only because of their selective products but because of the reflection of their owner’s lifestyles, interests, and insights into the modern Bruxellois living, a unique display of some of the city ’s most hidden treasures.

Regarded as one of the most original and adventurous collectors and dealers of our time, Axel Vervoordt rightly considers himself an eclectic collector and dealer, who treasures the timeless and disdains the trendy. I went to pay a visit in the Casle where he lives not far from Brussels . Enjoy the room-to room ride!

When Vervoordt decided to buy the Kanaal, a complex of warehouses, grain silos and a large round building, on the banks of a nearby canal, he wanted a truly minimalist environment where he could exercise his vision of “limitless spatial purity.”

I would never imagine that one of my favorite museums in the world would be found in the city of Brussels. An impressive collection consisting of 3,177 original musical instruments from all over the world are beautifully showcased in one of the most prestigious 1900s buildings in the city.
