Ferragamo’s Foot Forward
Shoemaker to the stars, Salvatore Ferragamo saw his brand become more of a lifestyle choice than an accessories line. It was the first Italian fashion house to diversify into travel and lifestyle. When the brand expanded to encompass boutique hotels, rural resorts, wineries and restaurants, it kicked off a trend that has quickly gained currency throughout the fashion world. I decided to go to Florence for the day and see how he accomplished that.

Salam Alekum: I Am in Marrakech!
At the New York JKF Royal Air Maroc check-in I’m surrounded by a large group of African women dressed in multicolored long Kaftans. I suddenly realize that I’ve packed the totally wrong clothes. My summer wardrobe consists of tiny Abercombie & Fitch shorts, mini skirts, t-shirts and tank tops. It’s the first time in my life that something like this has happened. I’ve got that strange feeling that I’m going to learn something different this trip.
Angels of Beauty, Part 2
Lately one should be careful with the sun. Unfortunately, due to the thinning of the Earth’s ozone layer its rays can be stronger and more dangerous on some days causing irreplaceable damages to our skins. Having lived in Brazil for so many years I have become addicted to a great suntan but more the ever I am aware about skin aging and I know for a fact that I should be prepared before exposing it long hours under the Mediterranean sun—my favorite by the way.
